Camp Description:
Step into the vibrant world of printmaking in this engaging course tailored for young artists. Participants will explore various beginner-friendly printmaking techniques and materials to create unique artwork. The course includes hands-on activities like making custom stamps, trying simple screen printing, and experimenting with cyanotype processes to produce sun prints.

Session Structure:

  • Introduction to Printmaking Tools and Materials: Start by learning about the different types of printmaking tools and materials, understanding their uses and potential effects.
  • Stamp Creation and Printing: Create custom stamps using foam, rubber, or carved vegetables, and use them to print repeated patterns and images on paper or fabric.
  • Mono Printing Magic: Discover the art of mono printing by applying paint directly to surfaces and making one-of-a-kind prints.
  • Simple Screen Printing Techniques: Try basic screen printing methods to produce prints that can be replicated multiple times.
  • Cyanotype Process: Learn how to create cyanotype prints using sunlight and special chemicals to capture beautiful blue prints on paper or fabric.

Educational Objectives:
