Camp Description:
Explore the realm of fantasy sculpting in this creative course tailored for teens. Participants will delve into making mythical creatures and characters using a variety of materials including wire, clay, and paper mache. This hands-on studio encourages students to imagine, sketch, and build three-dimensional models of fantastical beings, blending artistic skills with the boundless possibilities of fantasy art.

Session Structure:

  • Concept Development: Start with drawing and conceptualizing original fantasy creatures, focusing on unique traits and characteristics.
  • Wire Sculpting Techniques: Learn to create armatures and basic forms using wire, establishing a sturdy framework for more detailed work.
  • Clay Modeling: Use clay to add detail, texture, and volume to sculptures, enhancing the realism and intricacy of each creature.
  • Paper Mache Application: Explore paper mache techniques to finalize sculptures, adding layers and painting details to bring creations to life.
