Camp Description:
In this exciting course, young artists will learn how to bring their drawings to life by capturing movement and action. Focusing on dynamic poses and lively scenes, students will develop their skills in creating expressive drawings that show energy and motion. Through a variety of fun and engaging exercises, participants will explore how to make their artwork feel more animated and full of life.

Session Structure:

  • Introduction to Movement in Art: Discover how artists capture motion in their work. Learn the basics of drawing action by studying lines, shapes, and body positions that create a sense of movement.
  • Dynamic Poses: Practice drawing people and animals in action, focusing on dynamic poses like running, jumping, or dancing. Learn how to use gesture drawing to quickly sketch the essence of movement.
  • Creating Lively Scenes: Combine dynamic characters with energetic backgrounds to create scenes full of activity, like sports events, playgrounds, or nature scenes with animals in motion.
  • Exploring Different Mediums: Experiment with different drawing materials such as charcoal, pencils, and markers to create bold, fluid lines that enhance the sense of movement in your artwork.
  • Action-packed Final Project: Students will create a final piece that showcases their new skills in dynamic drawing. This project will feature a scene or character in motion, capturing energy and excitement.
