Camp Description:
This course is designed for teens interested in the art of comic creation and storytelling. Participants will learn how to develop their own comic books, focusing on crafting original characters, designing dynamic panels, and constructing compelling storylines. The course combines instruction in artistic techniques with narrative development, providing a comprehensive approach to comic book art.

Session Structure:

  • Character Development: Learn how to create memorable and distinctive characters with unique backstories and personalities.
  • Panel Layout and Design: Explore different panel layouts and how to use them effectively to pace your story and guide the reader's eye.
  • Storytelling Techniques: Delve into the essentials of narrative structure, including setting, conflict, and resolution, to create engaging and cohesive plots.
  • Inking and Coloring: Practice inking techniques to define your drawings and explore coloring methods that enhance the visual impact of your comic.

Educational Objectives:
