Camp Description:
Kickstart your comic-making adventure in this engaging course designed to introduce the essentials of creating comics. Participants will learn how to design unique characters, develop storyboards, and effectively create comic panels. This course focuses on combining artistic skills with storytelling elements to help young artists bring their imaginative stories to life in comic form.

Session Structure:

  • Character Design: Learn how to create and develop memorable characters, focusing on their appearances, personalities, and motivations.
  • Storyboarding Techniques: Explore how to lay out a story visually, organizing thoughts and plot points into a coherent sequence.
  • Panel Creation: Understand the fundamentals of comic panel layout, including timing, pacing, and the use of space to tell a story.
  • Bringing It All Together: Combine character designs and storyboards into finished panels, applying basic inking and coloring techniques to enhance the visual presentation.
