"Photo Fantasia: Comprehensive Photography and Collage" offers a 15-hour creative exploration where elementary students delve into the world of photography and its transformation into artistic collages. The course begins by teaching students the essentials of photography, emphasizing capturing intriguing images with a focus on subjects, composition, and lighting. Using user-friendly cameras or tablets, they'll learn to see the world through a photographer's lens, taking photographs that tell a story or convey emotions.The heart of the course lies in transforming these photographs into imaginative collages. Students will be guided on how to creatively combine their photos with a variety of materials such as paper, fabric, and natural elements, learning the art of layering and composition in collage-making. This process not only enhances their photography but also encourages artistic expression in a tangible, hands-on way.Through creating photo collages, students will develop a deeper understanding of visual storytelling and the powerful combination of photography and mixed media art.
