In this hands-on class, students will learn the fundamental techniques of linocut and woodcut printmaking, two popular and accessible forms of relief printing. They will start by designing their own simple images or patterns, then learn how to safely carve these designs into linoleum and wood blocks. The course will guide them through the process of inking their blocks and transferring their designs onto paper, creating multiple prints to share and display.
