Description

A deeper exploration of paper sculpture!

In this week-long class, students ages 6-12 are invited to investigate paper sculpture work a little more! Inspired by STEAM work, our students will be provided a series of beginning to more extensive challenges that invite them to bring their creativity to the table.  For example, we will ask how can you make a stamp out of cardboard? Is it possible to make a cupcake using only paper products? Working as individuals and as a group, we will make a variety of new work! Come to explore, play, and learn all about different forms of sculpture!

Students can expect to

  • be inspired by other nationally working artists that ONLY use paper
  • gain confidence in their critical thinking and creativity
  • cut, shape, form, and secure materials together
  • practice idea sharing and team building as we do a collaborative work together
  • transform their ideas on to the pages!

Skill Level:

Beginner to our artistic friends who have had more sculptural experience.  We recommend that students arrive ready to explore and create! Bring your imagination!

Materials:

All materials and snacks are included in this course. We do recommend that students bring a water bottle labeled with their name.
