Description

An introduction to all forms of sculpture practices!

In this week-long class, students ages 6-12 are invited to explore, play, and learn all about different forms of sculpture! Together we will explore paper sculpture, wire sculpture, paper pulp, paper mache, and, of course, clay!

Students can expect to

  • create their own creatures with paper mache
  • make a home object (cup, bowl, etc) with natural clay
  • gain inspiration from our friends at Pixar and make wire/clay sculptures of characters
  • get messy as we learn to mould paper pulp
  • work as a team to make a giant cardboard sculpture!

Skill Level:

Beginner to our artistic friends who have had more experience.  We recommend that students arrive ready to explore and create! Bring your imagination!

Materials:

All materials and snacks are included in this course. We do recommend that students bring a water bottle labeled with their name.
