Description

Unlock the secrets of creating depth and dimension in art with the "Understanding Perspective in Art" course! Over four weeks, young artists aged 6-12 will discover how to make their artworks come to life through the principles of perspective. Learn to create a sense of depth, scale, and proportion in drawings, understand one-point, two-point, and atmospheric perspective, and apply these skills in various art projects.

Course Outcomes for Elementary Students - 

One-Point Perspective: Learn the basics of one-point perspective to create depth in flat surfaces like roads or hallways.
Two-Point Perspective: Understand the principles of two-point perspective to draw complex forms like buildings and vehicles.
Atmospheric Perspective: Discover how color and detail change with distance to create a sense of depth.
Scale and Proportion: Master the art of making objects appear in proportion relative to one another.
Observation Skills: Learn to observe the world around and implement realistic perspectives in your artwork.

 

Requirements - 
A curious and interested mind, no experience is necessary for this course.  

Materials - 
All regular course materials are included, though students may receive lists of supplies if they would like to practice at home after the course ends.
