Over the span of eight weeks, this beginner-friendly course will immerse you in the beautiful world of watercolor painting. Starting with foundational techniques and progressing through varied themes and styles, this course aims to nurture your artistic skills in a supportive and inclusive environment. Whether you've never picked up a paintbrush or are looking to deepen your understanding of watercolor, this course will equip you with the skills and confidence to continue your artistic journey.
Course Outcomes for Students -
Understanding of Basic Watercolor Techniques: Students will be proficient in essential techniques such as wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry, equipping them with the foundational skills needed for watercolor painting.
Color Theory and Mixing: Students will gain a solid understanding of color theory, enabling them to skillfully mix hues, shades, and tints for more nuanced and expressive artwork.
Composition Skills: By the end of the course, students will have a strong grasp of composition principles, allowing them to create balanced and visually compelling paintings.

A curious and interested mind, no experience is necessary for this course.
Materials -
All regular course materials are included, though students may receive lists of supplies if they would like to practice at home after the course ends.

We will not have class on March 30, as this is GRPS and EGR spring breaks and many people are out of town.
