Immerse yourself in the foundational elements of photography. Learn the intricacies of various types of cameras, parts of the camera, and basics of photography. Participants may use smartphones, point-and-shoot, film, or DSLRs. Develop a deep understanding of exposure, composition, and different genres of photography, while also subtly focusing on the intentionality behind each shot.
Course Outcomes -
Develop a strong understanding of your camera's functionalities.
Learn the principles of composition and visual storytelling.
Explore multiple genres of photography and identify your own style.
Develop a coherent and compelling portfolio to showcase your growth.
Requirements - A curious and interested mind, absolutely zero art experience is necessary for this course.
Materials - All course materials are included, though students may receive lists of supplies if they would like to practice at home after the course ends.
Note - we will not have class on April 4, due to spring break camps that week. We will extend one extra week to makeup for that class.
