Description

Introduction to Photography for Kids" is a four-week course aimed at providing young learners aged 6-12 with a comprehensive understanding of photography as an art form. During 1.5-hour sessions, students will engage in hands-on activities to learn the basics of camera operation, composition, and understanding light. The course encompasses various styles of photography, such as portrait and nature photography, as well as storytelling through images.

Course Outcomes for Elementary Students

Basic camera operations
Understanding of composition
Techniques for utilizing natural light
Different styles of photography (portrait, nature, storytelling)

Requirements - 
A curious and interested mind, no experience is necessary for this course.  

Materials - 
We will be emailing students to see if they have cameras available.  We will have a variety of film cameras to use for the duration of the class, but if students would like to use ours exclusively they may! 

Note - 

This class has a slightly higher fee due to the materials cost and also because it is an hour and a half per session.
