Course Outcomes for Students - 

  • Manipulating fiber materials to create texture, color, and visual interest in fiber art projects
  • Applying hand embroidery and stitching techniques to add intricate patterns, textures, and dimension to fiber art creations
  • Exploring the art of weaving on traditional looms and experimental approaches to create unique fabric compositions
  • Diving into surface design and dyeing techniques, enhancing the visual impact of fiber art pieces
  • Experimenting with fiber sculpture and installation techniques, bringing three-dimensional forms and installations to life
  • Combining fiber art with mixed media to create visually captivating and layered compositions

Requirements - A curious and interested mind, no experience is necessary for this course.  

Materials - All regular course materials are included, though students may receive lists of supplies if they would like to practice at home after the course ends.
