Description

Introduction to Drawing Fundamentals" is designed to provide young artists with the basic skills and concepts needed to understand and enjoy the world of drawing. Throughout this four-week course, students will learn various techniques like line work, shading, and basic perspective. They will also be exposed to different drawing materials and mediums as they engage in a series of guided projects, each aimed at strengthening their foundational drawing skills.

Course Outcomes for Elementary Students - 

Basic line work and contour drawing
Understanding and application of shading
Introduction to perspective and proportion
Use of various drawing materials like pencils, charcoal, and erasers
Basic sketching techniques

Requirements - 
A curious and interested mind, no experience is necessary for this course.  

Materials - 
All regular course materials are included, though students may bring in things from home for the sculpture work.  We'll happily store them throughout the class so they have it! Students may receive lists of supplies if they would like to practice at home after the course ends.
