Description

An intro drawing studio course for kids ages 6-9

Drawing is the foundation of so many art practices. Here we welcome students ages 6-9 to learn new skills or practice old ones. Working with a variety of drawing materials, students practice spatial, technical, and creative skills. We will learn to see like artists using observational drawing skills, exploring line, perspective, tone, proportion, value, gesture, and more.  

Course Outcomes - 
Learn basic techniques and skills of drawing materials, gaining a better understanding and control of the medium
Create personalized drawing resource guides to remember techniques and practices
Gain confidence in art language and learn about contemporary artists drawing styles
Finish 2-3 small pieces

Requirements - 
A curious and interested mind, no experience is necessary for this course.  

Materials - 
All course materials are included, though students may receive lists of supplies if they would like to practice at home after the course ends.
