Sculpture Fundamentals: Understanding Form + Space is a course designed for teens who are passionate about exploring the three-dimensional aspects of art. Over three weeks, students will work on a single long-form project, allowing them to deeply engage with the principles of shape, form, and space. This course will cover essential techniques in sculpture, including modeling, carving, and assembling, using various materials such as clay, wood, and found objects. Students will learn how to conceptualize and develop their ideas into tangible forms, focusing on the relationship between objects and the space they occupy. Each session will include demonstrations, hands-on practice, and personalized feedback to help students refine their techniques and bring their creative visions to life. This class is perfect for young artists eager to delve into the world of sculpture and develop a deeper understanding of three-dimensional art.
